BRIAN DUNIGAN

Professional portrait of a middle-aged man in a suit.

Brian Dunigan has extensive experience in the areas of plaintiff’s personal injury law, workers’ compensation, wrongful death, complex civil litigation, and appellate law. He earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Tennessee College of Law. While there, he served as the Publication Editor for the Tennessee Law Review. He also has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Cumberland University and an Associate of Science degree in Natural Resource Management from Volunteer State Community College.

Brian was admitted to practice law in 2000 and served as a law clerk for the Hon. Justice Adolpho A. Birch of the Tennessee Supreme Court. After entering private practice, Brian served as a Senior Attorney and trial litigator for one of Middle Tennessee’s largest personal injury law firms for over twenty years before leaving to start Dunigan Law. He also is a frequent lecturer in legal seminars on topics such as civil litigation and ethics.

Brian is a member of the Tennessee Trial Lawyers Association. He is proud to have been granted an AV Preeminent® Peer Review Rating™ by Martindale-Hubbell®, the leading independent attorney rating organization. The AV Preeminent Rating is the highest rating recognized by Martindale-Hubbell, signifying that a lawyer’s peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence. Only a small percentage of attorneys nationwide receive the AV Preeminent Rating. Brian also is a member of the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum, a prestigious group of the top trial lawyers in the United States whose membership is limited to lawyers who have received million and multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements on behalf of their clients.

Brian lives in Hendersonville, Tennessee. Outside of the office, he is a dedicated angler and outdoorsman who loves spending time in Tennessee’s beautiful mountains, woods, and waters. He is also an avid musician and enjoys playing guitar, Appalachian dulcimer, mandolin, and bass guitar.
